Intense Yellow Velvet Underglaze is a bright pineapple color that is vivid at cone 05, deepens at cone 5, and is the deepest and most intense at cone 10. A clear glaze deepens the color of the underglaze significantly at any temperature.
For Intense Yellow Velvet Underglaze, we recommend using HF-10 Clear. HF-9 Zinc-Free Clear is recommended for use with underglazes to reduce the incidence of color shift. Most underglazes, stains, and coloring oxides will show their best color with Zinc-Free Clear.
Due to variations in raw materials used during manufacturing, we recommend firing glazed test tiles before using each new batch number of glaze.
*Our 2oz version of Velvet UG has been repackaged for better usage. There is no dilution or processing, and the firing effect is the same.
